Wembley on Saturday hosts a historic FA Cup Final as Manchester United and Man City face off in the showpiece for the first time.
It’s Carabao Cup winners taking on the Premier League champions, who hope this is the second trophy of a famous Treble.
United will be desperate to spoil the party, and face a tough task doing so.
Here’s where we think the FA Cup Final will be won and lost...
Erling Haaland v Victor Lindelof
City’s star striker has scored 52 goals in all competitions in an astounding first season in English football, and netted a hat-trick when City thrashed United 6-3 in October. Although United then kept Haaland out in the return fixture, it was Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw at the heart of defence, rather than Lindelof. While Haaland will no doubt target Lindelof rather than 6ft 3in Varane, the Swede has filled in well while Lisandro Martinez is out injured.
Bruno Fernandes v John Stones
One of Pep Guardiola’s great innovations this season is honing the 3-2-4-1 system that ultimately won City the Premier League, and using Stones in a midfield two has been revolutionary. But while his rotational play on the ball has rightly been lauded, he must be on his toes out of possession to contain United’s wily playmaker. Fernandes has scored in United’s past two games and will no doubt have a say on the outcome of this final.
Marcus Rashford v Ruben Dias
Rashford has been United’s star this season, delivering a regular flurry of goals both as lone striker and on left winger. Dias will be hoping he can pin Rashford down to free up Kyle Walker and Manuel Akanji either side of him to deal with United’s wide threats. Rashford might not have been Dias’s problem but, with Anthony Martial out, Rashford is a cert up front and Dias must keep close tabs on him.
