FA Cup final fans left confused as singer performs national anthem in 'BDSM costume'

TV viewers watching the FA Cup final today have been left baffled by one of the singers who performed the national anthem.

The fierce football final between Manchester United and Manchester City came to a head today at Wembley Stadium, with City winning 2-1 in the Manchester Derby.

The huge match saw royalty in attendance with Prince William joining the crowds alongside football legends including Sir Alex Ferguson and England manager Gareth Southgate as well as thousands of footie fans.

Before the match could begin a performance of the national anthem was given by singer Jasmine Faulker, but viewers at home were left baffled by one particular feature - Jasmine's dress.

Jasmine's outfit baffled viewers who likened it to Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz (ITV)

As she performed the national anthem to the crowds of football fans, Jasmine wore a silver strapless ruched mini dress alongside black latex opera gloves covering her arms. She kept her dark hair down and straight as she performed God Save The King.

However, it wasn't Jasmine's singing that caught the attention of many. Sharing their confusion on Twitter some football fans just couldn't help but comment on the unusual get-up.

One fan tweeted: "Why is the national anthem singer wearing a BDSM costume?"

Another added: "That national anthem singer is dressed like the tin man isn’t she."

"Nice fetish wear on the National anthem singer," said a third.

Another posted: "Why has the national anthem singer got 1/4 of a gimp suit on her arms?"

"An interesting choice of outfit by the singer a Tin foil dress with pvc gloves," said another.

Jasmine is an English-Iranian soprano singer who shot to fame whilst performing on ITV's Walk The Line for music judges Gary Barlow, Dawn French, Craig David and Alesha Dixon as part of group Ida.

However the band soon parted ways with Jasmine focusing on her own solo efforts instead and securing gigs at Windsor Castle and West End Live.

The FA Cup final isn't the first time Jasmine has taken to the stage at a sporting event as she also performed the USA and British national anthems for the Rugby Autumn International Series.
