Charles Leclerc extended his Formula One championship lead with victory at the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday.
Both second and third place in the Drivers’ Championship ahead of the race, Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen, failed to finish in dramatic fashion around Albert Park.
Despite the Spaniard’s woe, it has been a great start to the season for Ferrari, who top both the drivers’ and constructors’ standings having put both of their men on the podium in each of the two races so far.
Sergio Perez finished second, followed by both Mercedes and McLaren cars as George Russell took a surprise second in the standings.
