F1 British Grand Prix start time, full schedule, how to watch on TV and weather forecast today

Max Verstappen is on pole position as the British Grand Prix runs at Silverstone today.

Red Bull have not won at this track, situated just half-an-hour’s drive from their Milton Keynes factory, since 2012, with Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton dominating the seven-time F1 champion’s home race for the best part of a decade.

It would be a shock though if that run did not come to an end this weekend, with Verstappen on pole and looking to make it six wins in a row, as he continues his relentless march to a third world title in 2023.

That qualifying result was not a particularly popular one, with British driver Lando Norris at one point set to secure a shock pole of his own. The McLaren man will settle for second on the grid though, just ahead of team-mate Oscar Piastri.

Hamilton will start the race back in seventh, just behind Mercedes team-mate George Russell, while 2022 race winner Sergio Perez’s woeful run of qualifying performances continued as he failed to make it out of Q1 on Saturday.
