The Cincinnati Bengals were linked to running back Ezekiel Elliott earlier this offseason after the star’s release from the Dallas Cowboys.
Linked, meaning Elliott’s camp put out a list of three teams he would like to join on the open market. The Bengals commented on it, but were the only one of the three to not totally shut down the idea.
Fast forward to now, Elliott’s putting out footage of him training as he gets ready for next season despite the unknown of where he’ll play hanging over the proceedings.
And at a quick glance? Elliott looks great. And as we’ve argued since the Cowboys let him walk, he’d be a natural fit in the Cincinnati offense as a Samaje Perine replacement, provided he’s willing to take on that role and the contract is agreeable for both sides.
