The 'world's poshest PJs' are on sale ahead of the Jubilee, and the price tag has horrified shoppers. The PJs are so expensive, you coud buy a house for less money.
The jewel encrusted nightwear is available made-to-order for a limited time only over the Jubilee weekend, and has a price tag to match.
To celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee, luxury pyjama brand Secret Linen Store has created the world’s poshest pair of pyjamas that are fit for royalty. The made-to-order set of pyjamas are adorned with 204 precious stones and metals, all of which represent a key milestone or moment from Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.

Adorned on the 100% linen pyjama set are 70 pearls to represent her Majesty's 70th year on the throne, 24 rubies which each represent the Queen’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and 52 sapphires to represent the year of the Queen’s coronation, 1952 – the glorious red, white and blue giving a nod to the Union Jack colours.
Fifty-four sparkling diamonds around the cuffs represent the Commonwealth countries around the world and four key palaces and residences – Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Windsor Castle and Balmoral – are represented by the four buttons forged from precious platinum, as a nod to 2022 being Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum year.

Some people have been astounded by the price tag, though. When we shared an image of the pyjamas around our office, one person said: "Wow that has stunned me." Another commented: "£202k for that is scandalous."
Molly Freshwater, co-founder of Secret Linen Store, said: “We know that people up and down the country will be hanging out the bunting and popping champagne to celebrate this Jubilee weekend, so we wanted to offer something a little special for those looking to truly feel like royalty. The extravagant nightwear is perfect for those who want to have the most decadent night’s sleep of their life.”
