'Extreme worry' for missing man captured on CCTV in Ladbrokes days after disappearance

UPDATE 23/11/11 - MR MCGEE HAS BEEN FOUND SAFE AND WELL

Police have released a CCTV picture of a man who is missing from Stockport as part of an appeal for help to find him.

David McGee - known by his family as Dave - was last seen on Carnforth Road in Heaton Chapel on Thursday, November 10. Police said the 64-year-old was spotted at around 6am.

Six days later, on Wednesday, November 16, David was captured on CCTV at the Ladbrokes betting shop in Manchester city centre. This was at around 5.25pm, police said.

He was still wearing the distinctive blue and brown coat he was last seen in. He was also pictured carrying a black rucksack, with a black umbrella under his arm.

David is described as being 5ft 8in tall and of medium build. He has grey hair and wears glasses, and was also last seen wearing dark jeans and walking boots.

His family are said to be 'extremely worried' about him. Police are urging anyone with any information to get in touch.

Detective Inspector Gareth Beasley from Stockport District CID said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned about David and we need to get him back to his family as soon as possible. They are extremely worried about him and just need to know that he is safe and well.

"If you have seen David, or know where he is, please give us a call on 0161 856 9827 quoting reference number 2479 of 10.11.2022. You can also dial 101 or pass any information on anonymously via the independent charity – Crimestoppers – on 0800 555 111.”
