An explosion at an armaments plant in Poland on Monday resulted in a fire that tragically claimed the life of a 59-year-old worker and left another person injured, according to officials. The incident occurred at the Mesko plant in the town of Skarzysko-Kamienna, which is located approximately 135 kilometers (85 miles) south of Warsaw.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that there is currently no evidence to suggest that an 'external force' was involved in the explosion at the plant. The Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, a state holding group that oversees weapons manufacturing companies, confirmed the blast and expressed deep sorrow over the incident, labeling it a significant tragedy for the entire Polish Armaments Group.

The Mesko plant is known for producing ammunition, including missiles. An investigation into the explosion is already underway to determine the cause of the incident. This unfortunate event comes amidst a series of fires in Poland, prompting authorities to explore the possibility of sabotage by Russian or Belarusian secret services in response to Poland's support for Ukraine.
