'Exciting times' - Lennon delivers Celtic transfer verdict as he predicts departures

Neil Lennon expects Ange Postecoglou to add to his Celtic squad in the summer as he called for "physicality and quality" in incoming reinforcements.

The former Celtic boss reckons Postecoglou won't be content with his squad and will have signings and outgoing players on his mind in the post-season.

The current Parkhead manager is on the brink of a Scottish domestic treble with the Scottish Cup final against Inverness on the horizon.

And Lennon claims Postecoglou will be hopeful of also competing at a higher level in Europe next season after a difficult Champions League campaign this term.

Celtic finished bottom of their group after losses to Real Madrid and RB Leipzig alongside draws with Shakhtar Donetsk.

On talkSPORT, when asked by Ally McCoist whether Postecoglou will look to bolster his squad in the summer, Lennon said: "Oh yeah. I think he'll look to strengthen the squad. I think there will be a few leaving.

"I think they'll again sort of balance the books that way.

"If he does get over the line with the treble which would be a great success for him, you've got to look at participating strongly in the Champions League.

"I think he will want to do that. They have got a good nucleus of a squad but you've seen the results in the Champions League this year, they were a little bit short.

"I think they want to add a bit of physicality and a bit of quality to that.

"The of course, Michael, he has gone on record to say that he wants to rebuild.

"It'll be exciting times for both teams going into next season."
