Exciting Rangers academy duo sign first professional contracts

Rangers academy duo Aiden Crilly and Jack Caldwell have signed their first professional deals with the Ibrox club.

The pair have both penned full-time contracts with technical director Nils Koppen talking up the under-18 players.

Crilly and Caldwell have both agreed deals after progressing through the age groups with Rangers.

Crilly has played for Steven Smith's Rangers under-18 side this season as well as against Utrecht in an outing for the Rangers B team.

Caldwell, 15, will turn professional at Rangers and be involved in the under-18 side moving forward.

On Crilly's contract, Koppen commented: “We are delighted that Aiden Crilly has committed his future to Rangers.

“Aiden has been with the academy from a young age, and we’re thrilled to see him continue his journey at Rangers. Aiden has shown great potential throughout his time in the academy, and we’re excited to see how he will continue to develop as he makes the step into the full-time environment.

“It’s a proud moment for Aiden, his family, and the club. Our schoolboy programme and staff have played an important role in helping him to reach this stage in his journey, and we all look forward to continuing to support Aiden as he takes the next steps in his career here at Rangers”

Koppen added of Caldwell: “We are very pleased to welcome Jack into the full-time environment here at Rangers.

“Jack has progressed through our academy and now moves into our Under 18s group, where he will be supported through our education programme, marking an exciting step in his development on and off the pitch.

“We look forward to supporting Jack as he continues to develop and progress here at Rangers.”
