Shoppers on Castle Marina Retail Park have spoken of their excitement as B&M is confirmed to open at the site
The store will replace the former Ultimate Outdoors which closed in January.
The new B&M shop on Castle Marina Retail Park is expected to open on Wednesday, April 13.
Many shoppers told Nottinghamshire Live that "you can’t go wrong with B&M" and that they love the store.
Shopper Vicki Richardson, 34, a NHS worker, told Nottinghamshire Live she prefers B&M to the former store Ultimate Outdoors.
She said: “I would definitely use a B&M more than an Ultimate Outdoors.
“You can’t go wrong with B&M.”
Jess Gillham, 25, Mapperley said she loves B&M. “I’m happy with that,” she said. “I’m not going to lie I love B&M.
“We go to B&M once a month for cleaning stuff.
“That would be really good."
Jess’ partner, Ed Cunningham, added: “It makes sense for this retail park.”
Jan Clements, 67 retired, Ruddington says she would certainly visit the new B&M.
“I suppose as long as it’s a viable proposition - we need the shops to stay don’t we?" she said.
“So if it's going to stay I’m all for it.
“I have (shopped at B&M) occasionally but not for a long while.
“There’s one near Colwick that I used to go to but it’s not on my doorstep - certainly this one would be so I’d give it a go.”
The new store is referred to as a 'B&M Home Store with Garden Centre' on the company's site.
It will sell items including alcohol, laminate flooring, paint, vinyl flooring and wallpaper.
