Exasperated Helen Skelton left 'stranded' in dark after 'following' Gorka Marquez for reunion

Helen Skelton appeared exasperated as she told fans how she was left 'stranded' after reuniting with Gorka Marquez. Almost a month after the pair made it to the final of Strictly Come Dancing, the pair met up before Helen heads out on the show's hit tour with a new dance partner.

Taking to his Instagram Story with a video as he strolled the streets of Manchester, Gorka, 32, said to the camera: "I just came into Manchester for a hair cut and I bump into someone..." he then moved the camera to the side as Helen, 39, popped into the shot and stuck her tongue out.

"Bumped in to? I'm stalking you," Helen replied. "Are you following me?" Gorka asked to which Helen said yes ashe said they were heading for an overdue catchup. "He can leave but I will find him," Helen cheekily replied before she got a telling off by Gorka for the way she galloped out of the shot.

"Other leg, Helen," he bemoaned. "Remember, the other leg!" he repeated to which Helen replied with a cheeky smile: "It's not your problem anymore." But while Strictly may be over, he couldn't help but issue more instructions, telling her to put her shoulder down as she rebelled and did the opposite.

And fans were thrilled to see them back together as Gorka later took to Instagram with a series of selfies of the pair on the soggy city centre streets. But the weather didn't dampen their spirits as the pair stuck their tongues out at the camera. "Quick coffee catch up with this one today before she goes on tour with the rest of the Strictly Gang," the Spanish dancer typed alongside the post.

"Can’t wait to come and watch you dance at the Manchester show and be cheering you like a proud dad. Have the best Time @helenskelton," he sweetly added. Former Blue Peter host Helen will perform with Kai Widdrington on the Strictly Live arena tour and joins winner Hamza Yassin and fellow finalists Molly Rainford and Fleur East in the line-up.

Helen was quick to reply, writing: "Team mate," suggesting that despite her partner swap, Gorka will always be her friend and teacher. But later, after leaving Gorka behind, the mum-of-three had a bit of a nightmare. Sitting in darkness from her stationary car, she shared a clip with the caption: "I thought electric cars were the future," followed by a string of mind-blown and angry emojis.

Speaking in to her phone camera, the Countryfile star explained: "I had an electric car over a decade ago - a Nissan Leaf. It didn't work out. I could never charge it and it was really impractical."

Clearly unimpressed, she went on: "Over a decade later, an electric car - not working out. Can't charge it and not for the first time... stranded." She then whispered: "I thought this was the future?" While she admitted that her dilemma was "first world problems," she did add: "If anyone else is having more success with an electric car I salute you."
