Thunderstorms will hit Merseyside this evening, according to the Met Office.
A yellow weather warning was issued on Friday for Merseyside and other parts of the UK. Meteorologists have said people should expect "sudden flooding" which can lead to difficult driving conditions and "some road closures".
Forecasters are also warning of potential delays or cancellations to public transport services. According to the Met Office, it will start to rain at around 3pm today with thunder starting from 5pm and lasting until 8pm this evening. Despite the stormy conditions predicted, people can still expect high temperatures.

The Met Office warning in full said: "Heavy rain and thunderstorms on Sunday will bring a chance of disruption to parts of England and Wales.
"Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail, or strong winds.
"Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services. There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
"There is a small chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads".
