Storm Malik is charging across Scotland today, bringing severe wind with the strongest gusts above 75 mph set to batter eastern Scotland.
The Met Office issued three wind warnings yesterday ahead of Storm Malik, later upgrading one to amber.
The storm is set to bring travel disruptions, flooding and power cuts, multiple agencies warned, including SP Energy Networks and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
Weather warnings for Storm Malik cover all of Scotland as strong winds of 50 to 60 mph are widely expected.
More damaging gusts will reach 60 to 70 mph inland whilst severe wind above 75 mph could hit coastal areas, said the Met Office.
The weather alerts in Scotland started from 4am today where they will last for three days through to the end of Monday.

The Met Office says: "Strong westerly winds will bring some disruption on Saturday to Scotland, parts of Northern Ireland and northern England."
The gusts will reach 50 to 60 mph and as strong as above 75 mph in eastern Scotland before easing during the afternoon.
Amber wind warning: east and northeast Scotland, 7am to 3pm

- Road, rail, air and ferry services are likely to be affected, leading to longer journey times and some cancellations
- Some roads and bridges likely to close
- There is a good chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
- Probably some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs
- Injuries and danger to life could occur from flying debris as well as from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties
"Storm Malik [is] bringing a period of very strong winds and disruption across eastern Scotland on Saturday," writes the Met Office.
The east of Scotland will face Storm Malik's strongest gusts.
Winds of 50 to 60 mph are widely predicted with the most severe winds set to rise above 75 mph, particularly in Moray, north Aberdeenshire and the Lothians.
