Most parts of the UK have enjoyed warm temperatures this month, with the mercury topping 30C in some areas on several days.
Brits have been flocking to beaches, parks, and beer gardens to enjoy the sunshine with their families and friends - and this weekend most parts of the country will continue to be warm.
But the weather is set to change soon, and this morning the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across northern England and Scotland.
It is in force from 1pm until 9pm on Sunday and forecasters have warned that heavy rain could cause disruption and flooding in some areas.
From Monday, temperatures are expected to go down, close to the average for this time of year. The Met Office said there will be "a much fresher feel" through the first half of next week.
Currently, highs are expected to be around 24C, with lows lingering around 14C or 15C, according to the latest weather forecast.
But before the weather starts to feel cooler next week, the UK will still be warm and dry for much of this afternoon, with variable amounts of cloud.
The Met Office said the best of the sunshine will develop for southwestern parts of England and Wales.
Forecaster Jonathan Vautrey said this weekend is "very hot and very humid" and the weather will feel "sticky".
He said maximum temperatures will be around 27C or 28C today, especially in southern and south-eastern England.
Towards the end of June, there will be more rain, with strong winds in places. The Met Office's long-range forecast from June 28 to July 7 says: "Rain moving eastwards across most parts on Wednesday, with some strong winds in places, wettest and windiest in the north and west.
"Turning showery later in the week, although more widespread rain may arrive towards the weekend.
"Temperatures near to above average, especially in eastern parts. Into the weekend, changeable patterns are likely to continue with occasional rain or showers, which could be locally heavy at times, with occasional moderate to fresh winds expected.
"Towards the end of the period, northern areas are more likely to see more prolonged settled conditions, however, showery interludes remain possible at times.
"Further south, changeable weather is more likely, with a risk of rain, showers or thunderstorms for some. Temperatures generally above average."
