Scotland's work from home guidance is coming to an end on January 31 as Omicron cases continue to drop.
Nicola Sturgeon said today that the previous policy of working home whenever possible will be changed to a 'hybrid' model combining working from home and in person.
The First Minister made the announcement in her weekly Covid update today.
This policy change follows other recent moves by the Scottish Government to ease other Omicron related rules and restrictions.
Just yesterday the UK confirmed that pre-arrival Covid tests would be dropped completely for travellers from February 11.
Here's what to know about working from home in Scotland.
When and how will the work from home guidance change?
Workers and businesses in Scotland will soon begin to "pave the way for a phased return to the office", said the FM.
The SNP leader said this move would signal a flexible return to working between home and in person.
She added: "It will recommend that, from Monday, January 31, employers should consider implementing hybrid working - following appropriate guidance - with workers spending some time in the office and some time at home."
The First Minister said some workplaces had already used a hybrid model for a period this past autumn.
She cautioned that all workers shouldn't fully go back to the office as in pre-pandemic times because the level of infection still remains high.
What other Omicron rules have been lifted?
All four countries in the UK eased one major travel rule yesterday - the requirement for international travellers to test before arriving.
However, not all travel rules have been discarded, and fliers should read our guide to the current travel rules.
Other withdrawn rules include restrictions on events - both indoors and out - and the requirement for table service in pubs and restaurants.
Nightclubs reopened on Monday, a month after clubs were closed in a protective measure against the Omicron surge.
