After enjoying five bank holidays in April and May, including a bonus day this year for the King's Coronation, we've probably all got a little too used to a four day working week.
In total, including those that have already passed, 2023 has 10 bank holidays.
Your employer does not have to give you paid leave on bank or public holidays. Bank holidays may also affect how and when your benefits are paid.
If your payment date is on a weekend or a bank holiday you’ll usually be paid on the working day before. This may be different for tax credits and Child Benefit.
Sadly, there isn't another bank holiday now till August 28. After that there's two more over the Christmas period.
Here is a full list of all the confirmed bank holidays for the remainder of 2023 and all of 2024.
