The uncle of former WWE star Paige died during a charity boxing match in Norwich on Sunday.
The wrestler, real name Saraya Bevis, confirmed the tragic passing of her uncle Jules on social media following the event at her father's gym on Diamond Road.
"Keep thinking about my uncle. What a wonderful human he was. Up until the end he had a heart of gold. He was doing a charity boxing match at my dads wrestling PC raising money for a little girl for her cancer treatments. In the ring he collapsed & past in my brother Roy’s arms," she posted on social media.
Paige, who now goes by the name Saraya, went on to send her condolences to her family - adding: "I want to give them the biggest hug because I can't imagine how it felt seeing that and being there. Please swap them with love."
Medics rushed to the scene on Sunday afternoon after a man in his 50s had become 'unwell' but despite treatment, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Paige, 30, was born in Norwich, but shot to stardom in the WWE when she became the youngest Divas Champion in history at the age of just 21.
Her stunning rise made it to the big screen too when Hollywood directors wrote film Fighting with My Family in 2019.
A devastating neck injury cut short her career as she was forced to retire in 2018 but stayed on in a non-fighting role before she announced her departure earlier this year.
She made a shock return earlier this month with rival company All Elite Wrestling, although was not involved in any physical altercations.
Norfolk Police have begun an investigation with the death being treated as "unexplained".
"Officers were called to the match in Diamond Road, Norwich at 3.47pm this afternoon to reports of a sudden death after man in his 50s had become unwell during the event," a statement read.
"Emergency services including ambulance and police were in attendance but despite medical treatment, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"The area has been cordoned off while officers investigate the circumstances of the death which is currently being treated as unexplained."
