Popular pub chain Wetherspoons is often known for being an affordable spot for good food and drinks, although in the cost of living crisis we're always looking for ways to make our money go further.
One ex-employee has shared her advice to get the absolute best menu items for less by ordering sides to take your Wetherspoons meal from good to great.
Millie Trenholm, also known as The Boujee Burger on TikTok, shared her favourite menu items to eat on shift with some very specific instructions - and she didn't hold back when discussing her hatred of garden peas and scampi.

The food fan started off her top 10 menu item list with the offending scampi and mushy peas, with tartare sauce a must have.
She said: "If you get garden peas you are disgusting and if you don’t get tartare sauce then what are you doing with your life?"
In the caption, Millie doubled down on her pea opinions but wrote: "ps. if you eat garden peas you're not actually disgusting it just makes me sad."
Despite her love of scampi, she added that it is often overcooked, making her "not a happy bunny" and limiting it to the bottom of her list.
Millie moves on to pasta alfredo next, advising customers get cheesy garlic bread with their meal - but not just for a filling side.
Instead, she recommends combining the cheesy garlic bread and pasta, saying: "Put your pasta in it, wrap it up, alfredo and cheesy garlic bread wrap."
If a cheesy pasta wrap doesn't take your fancy, Millie moves on to the classic ham and cheese panini which is "peng but only if they’re toasted to perfection". It is the side that the foodie believes pushes this dish into top tier.
She said: "Not with chips, not on its own, not with a side salad but with a tomato and basil soup on the side. Dip it in and it's like a ketchup but better."
Next up was the popular BBQ buttermilk burger with which Millie suggests a little side to help elevate it - coleslaw. Put the coleslaw on the burger for a "delicious" meal but beware of the chips.
"The only downside is when the chips on the side sometimes taste a bit onion ringy and if you've ever had them you know exactly what I'm talking about," she added.
Finally, as her absolute favourite dish from Wetherspoons, the foodie suggests chicken wings but with garlic mayo sauce on the side.
She said: "The blue cheese sauce on the side is a no, and so is the naga chilli one because I'm not a spicy girl. I have a thing about blue cheese, it makes me actually gag.
"However, swap those sauces out for a garlic or something and you’ve got an unbelievable dish of food."
