Oti Mabuse has been left heartbroken by the death of her niece.
The former Strictly Come Dancing professional took to Instagram today to pay tribute to her loved one, Tlhogi, who has died at the age of 28.
Dancing On Ice judge Oti, 31, shared a string of gorgeous snaps of them together as she called Tlhogi her "sister" and "best friend".
She wrote: "How is this the last time I would hold you in my arms. I am so shattered inside I can’t even begin to describe the pain. This is not how this was supposed to go.
"We had plans together, travel the world and dance on a beach in Jamaica for my birthday I used to fetch you everyday from crèche, swimming, chess since we were 8. You were only 28 yet the kindest, sweetest human being in my life! I’ve lost my niece, my little sister, my best friend"
The devastated star continued: "Life dealt you the harshest card but you always chose to win, you always fought to come out the other side above it all with a smile on your face.
"I love you much with all my heart and now you’re gone and I feel lost in more ways than one to a pain I’ve never felt before I’m still calling you and texting you trying to understand - how? Why?
"May you rest in peace and power my sweet Tlhogi say hi to Koko, Abuti Neo Le Malume Tshepo. I promise to take care of Sesi, Nanikie and Mpho for you x"
Rallying around her, fellow Strictly star Karen Hauer commented: "Love you . Sending all the love to you and your family".
And Dianne Buswell added: " I’m sorry for your loss oti xxxxx sending lots of love".
Singer Alexandra Burke told her: "Sending you love my darling I’m so sorry for your loss xxx".
And Drag Race's Michelle Visage posted: "I'm so sorry my love".
Oti's sister Motsi, a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, issued a brief statement about the tragedy, only to say that she would not be answering questions about what had happened and to ask for privacy.
The tragedy comes at a time when Oti's career has been taking off, no doubt leaving her loved ones incredibly proud.
She joined Dancing On Ice this year as a judge after stepping down as a pro on Strictly.
Announcing her departure earlier this year, she wrote on Instagram: "Never easy to say goodbye I have been part of the most amazing TV show, Strictly Come Dancing for the past seven years and it has been an incredible time. Lifting the glitter ball twice and having the best journey with all my celebrities, but also meeting and working with the best team, crew, producers, celebs and incredible professional dancers!
"You are my family and I adore you all forever. Thank you @sarahjamesface @jack.will.g and @jasongilkison for truly believing in me."
Sharing that she is thankful to the series, she added: "I’m honestly so grateful to The BBC and will always remember that Strictly and BBC brought me to the UK - which I now call home and I have learnt and grown so much. - Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
"I can’t put in to words how difficult this decision has been, but I have decided not to return for the next series.
"Dance will always be my first love and to everyone, my family especially, friends, strictly fans and judges who have been my support throughout my strictly journey, thank you for being incredible! You are irreplaceable in my heart and have made everyday unforgettable! I love you."
She ended the post: "I will always Keeeep Dancing! and I will never forget my amazing Strictly experience! Lots of Love Oti xxx."
