TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O'Hara reckons Manchester City are paying a "fair price" for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips after it emerged to two sides had agreed to a £42m transfer fee. The England international now looks set to depart Elland Road where he has spent the majority of his career to link up with Pep Guardiola and the Premier League champions.
Previously, there had been talk Phillips might cost around the £50m mark, with Leeds desperate to keep ahold of their star midfielder. However, last week it emerged the Whites and Man City had agreed to terms over the 26-year-old midfielder.
With two-years left on his contract, it arguably makes sense for Leeds to sell Phillips now.
While Phillips was reportedly open to extending his stay at Elland Road, there was still a chance the 26-year-old could depreciate heavily in value if he stayed at Leeds with one-year left on his deal heading into the season after next.
And speaking alongside host Laura Woods, talkSPORT pundit Jamie O'Hara reckons Leeds have gotten a good price for their star midfielder.

Jamie O'Hara: "I think £42m is a fair price. I think he is a top player, an international, but has he played Champions League football? Has he been in the Premier League for a number of years?
Laura Woods: "I mean he's played in a final at a EURO.
JO'H: "Yeah I get he's got that and he's got star quality but I mean why does it have to be astronomical prices all the time just because you've played a few games for your country.
LW: "The value to Leeds? Is it that? He had two years left on his contract, is his value to Leeds higher than £42m to try and replace him do you think?
JH: "Well, we will see won't we with the player they bring in. I think he's a really good player, I think it's a great signing. He's had some injuries, I think that probably hurt the transfer fee as well.
"They'll argue over the fact he's had a bad injury and didn't really get properly going last season so it's a good signing. Solid signing."
