Former Nationwide host Mary Kennedy had admitted she wants to work less to make more time for her grandchildren and partner Tom.
And the former Dancing With The Stars contestant, who left RTE in 2019, said she is planning to move out of her home in September but will not be moving in with Tom, who she has been dating for three and a half years.
Mary has decided to sell her detached four-bedroom home of 20 years at Coolamber Park in Knocklyon for €850,000, to downsize to a smaller home in the area.

She told us: “I want to do some work but not work all the time because I have two grandchildren and they are absolutely gorgeous and they live in Limerick and I also want to have time for friends, family and Tom. I’m also moving house at the end of September. I’m downsizing.”
Mary is also back filming her second series of TG4’s Moving West and she’s also just finished filming Brendan Courtney’s Keys to my Life, describing it as “emotional”.
The 67-year-old is the aunt of singer Dermot Kennedy and says she doesn’t mind when people know her as that.
“I always joke about the fact that in the beginning when he started touring, we would go backstage and his band used to say, ‘oh now here is a real famous Kennedy’ and now people say ‘you’re Dermot Kennedy’s aunt’, which is fine.”
But Mary still continues to dance two years on from the show and remains close pals with her ex DWTS partner John Nolan.
“I still meet up with John. Tom and I took some dance lessons with John for my son's (wedding)… my son got married a month ago. John is a good friend. I would recommend it to anybody. I loved it. You use your body, you celebrate your body’s physicality, you make new friends. We always had the best craic.”
