Jason Cummings has fired his side to a title winning triumph in some style.
The ex- Rangers ace bagged a hat-trick as Central Coast Mariners hit six to wrap up the A-League in style. The Mariners swept aside rivals Melbourne City 6-1 in the Grand Final. Cummings opened the scoring with a slick finish inside the first 20 minutes. Samuel Silvera doubled the Mariners lead, before Melbourne City pulled one back. Cummings then fired home just after the hour mark before netting a penalty to put his side in full control before his side added another two before full time.
Former Ibrox striker Cummings signed off a successful stint with the Mariners with a memorable title win, marking a painful 10 year wait for the club to be crowned kings of Australia. It rounds off a big season for the forward who took his tally to 20 for the season, smashing the record for the most goals for the Mariners in a single season. Cummings also starred in the World Cup for the Socceroos after switching allegiances from Scotland to Australia.

Cummings revealed before the game that today was his "last dance" after being linked with a move to the Indian Super League to play with Mohun Bagan.
Speaking after the match the striker said: "I don’t know what happened. We just beat a great team, 6-1 but I’m not surprised. the team we have got, the hunger, the boys, the togetherness, the family, the gaffer, Serge. Wow what. a journey man.
“I have been here a year and a half and the gaffe changed my life. My career was spiralling out of control and I’ve come here and I’ve just fell in love with the coast man. Best team, wow. I’m lost for words.”
