Ex-Rangers striker grabs second Champions League goal on the spin

A former Rangers striker has showcased himself on the European stage by scoring in two consecutive games.

Abdallah Sima scored 16 times from 40 appearances on loan at the Light Blues last season.

Rangers were desperate to keep him permanently, yet financial constraints meant he returned to his parent club, Brighton, over the summer before penning a season-long loan deal with Stade Brestois in France.

That move has proved fruitful so far as the Senegalese international netted during Brest's UEFA Champions League win over Sturm Graz on September 19, and has followed that up this evening by firing the Ligue 1 team into a 1-0 half-time lead away against RB Salzburg.

Brest are in the continent's top club competition for the first time - and that strike is their first ever on the road.

Sima ran onto a through-ball, holds off a defender, and slotted the ball low into the bottom corner, leaving the opposition goalkeeper wrong footed.

(Image: TNT Sports) It got even better for the 23-year-old in the second half as he found the net again to bag a double on the night.

Brest ended up sinking their Austrian counterparts to a 4-0 defeat!
