Ex-Rangers star Glen Kamara could be on the move again

Ex-Rangers star Glen Kamara could be on the move yet again - just one year after he left the Scottish Premiership side.

The 28-year-old signed for Leeds United last summer in a deal worth £5m.

The Finland international was a key player for Daniel Farke, as they narrowly missed out on promotion back to the Premier League via the play-offs.

They fell short in a 1-0 defeat to Southampton at Wembley, with Rangers missing out on a £500,000 windfall payment as part of their agreement with Leeds.

And it appears that despite Premier League football not being on the cards next season, another challenge in one of Europe's top five divisions could be.

Well-known French media out L'Equipe reports that Stade Rennais are interested in the midfielder.

The Ligue 1 side believes Kamara is a good fit for them as they aim to strengthen their midfield.

Rennes finished tenth in France's top flight last season and will be targeting a return to European competition next term.

It's unknown if Rangers have any sell-on clause involved in the deal with Leeds.

Meanwhile, a former Celtic coach is eying up a move for Rangers defender Connor Goldson, according to a report.

Birmingham City are interested in Connor Goldson, the Scottish Sun claims.

Chris Davies - who recently left his role as Ange Postecoglou's No.2 at Tottenham Hotspur to take up the position at St Andrew's - is keen to strengthen his side's backline.

And with the aim of winning League One next term, he reportedly views Goldson as a crucial part of that puzzle.

Davies worked under Brendan Rodgers at Parkhead during the Irishman's first stint in charge. He followed him to Leicester in 2019.

Goldson has the sort of experience that Davies wants at Birmingham, having played over 300 games for the Ibrox club.
