Ex-Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni addresses Dungannon fans after signing for club

Bilel Mohsni says he can't wait to start working with Dean Shiels at Dungannon Swifts.

The 34-year-old defender played alongside Shiels during their time together at Glasgow Rangers between 2013 and '15.

Mohsni says it was evident back then that Shiels would go on to become a successful manager, and now the pair have linked up once again in the Irish League.

Addressing Dungannon's fans on social media, Mohsni said: "When Dean called me I was very, very happy because I wanted to play under him.

"I know when I played with him at Glasgow Rangers he was a very good player. He was a number 10 who was a creative player who was scoring some top goals.

"So when I played with him I knew in my head he would be a very good manager, and of course last month he received the manager of the month and he deserved it.

"So I am delighted to come and play in the Irish League and play under Dean. I am looking forward to playing and starting a new chapter, and a new chapter in the Irish League in Northern Ireland."

Mohsni's nomadic career has seen him play for clubs in England, Scotland, France and Suadi Arabia.

Now he's preparing to embark on a new challenge in Mid Ulster with Dungannon Swifts.

"I look forward to meeting other people, because I have played in the UK," he added.

"So it will be fantastic and I am looking forward to it. I am very, very happy.

"And many thanks for welcoming me to the club."
