Ex-Rangers ace Ryan Kent 'poised for transfer exit' as Premier League move mooted

Former Rangers winger Ryan Kent is reportedly poised to leave Fenerbahce.

The former Ibrox forward is expected to depart the Turkish club after Jose Mourinho's arrival as the new manager.

Kent - who joined Fenerbahce last summer - has played just 18 times for Fenerbahce since joining on a free transfer from Rangers.

Now, it's claimed Kent is preparing to depart the club with a move to the Premier League possible.

According to Turkish outlets and Darren Witcoop, Ipswich Town are interested in Kent.

It's thought manager Kieran McKenna is an admirer of the winger and could look to make a move to bolster his squad ahead of a first season back in the English top flight.

English Championship clubs are also reportedly monitoring Kent's situation.

Mourinho was the headline appointment this summer as he arrived in Turkey for the latest step in his glittering management career.

The Portuguese coach has seen Kent up close in training since returning to pre-season last week.

It seems that has not been enough to convince the Special One that Kent should remain as part of his squad for the upcoming campaign, though.

Turkish outlet Sabah claims Mourinho is set to cut the list of foreign players in his squad from 15 down to nine. This means that six players - including Kent - will be shown the door.

The quota for foreign players allowed in each top-flight league squad has been reduced from 14 to 12.

And the report states that along with Kent,  Luan Peres, Rade Krunic, Miha Zajc, Miguel Crespo and Joao Pedro will all be allowed to leave.
