Hamilton Accies have signed former Queen of the South and Queen's Park defender Michael Doyle.
The experienced full-back is John Rankin's second signing of the summer, having impressed while on trial at the club.
The 30-year-old spent time at Accies as a youth, before moving on to Celtic and Kilmarnock. His first senior appearances were with the Rugby Park club. He was released by Queen' Park at the end of last season.
Doyle told Hamilton Accies' website: "I am delighted to be here. This is where it all started for me, and I have always kept a close eye on the club’s results - now I am back here again.
"The changing room is fantastic. I am really looking forward to being part of that and doing what I can to help this team in the season ahead.”
Head coach John Rankin said: "Michael is a fantastic signing for this football club. He is a great leader to have in our dressing room and will be a huge asset for the squad’s younger players to learn from.
“He is a fantastic defender with a wealth of experience, and we have been really impressed with his fitness levels from the first day of pre-season.”
Doyle and midfielder Jonny Ngandu go into Saturday's squad for the Premier Sports Cup opener at Dundee.
