Former Newcastle United manager Graeme Souness believes that people have been too 'quick' to label Bruno Guimaraes as 'world class'.
The Brazilian has established himself as a firm fan favourite at Newcastle since his arrival from Olympique Lyonnais in January.
Guimaraes has scored seven goals in 23 Premier League appearances, including a stunning brace in Newcastle's 5-1 victory over Brentford on Saturday.
Although Souness agrees that Guimaraes has made a very strong start at St James' Park, he does suggest that terms such as 'world class' and 'club legend' are slightly premature.

Souness told TalkSPORT: “What we’ve seen so far, he is a real player. We’re quick to call players world-class players, legends of the game.
"He’s made a really good start, he will graft, he has athleticism. I like him. I’m from a certain vintage, great players are not created in a couple of months – we’ve talked about longevity."
The Magpies have registered back-to-back victories against Fulham and Brentford respectively - scoring nine in the process - for the first time this season to climb into the top six.
Despite their strong start, which has seen Newcastle suffer just one defeat in nine games, Souness expects the top six to be too steep of a task.
"Newcastle are doing really well," Souness added. "Top six, I think that is a wee bit beyond them."
