Ex-Manchester United winger sends 'come and get me' signal to Everton

A former Manchester United star is seemingly keen on a move to Everton and it wouldn't cost the Blues a penny.

Belgian international Adnan Januzaj is currently a free agent after running down his contract with Real Sociedad. And the 27-year-old is believed to be set on a return to the Premier League with Goodison Park his preferred destination.

That's according to RMC Sport journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who claims that the possible exit of Anthony Gordon or another Everton player could prompt the Blues to capitalise on Januzaj's availability.

On Thursday evening Tavolieri Tweeted: "Adnan #Januzaj waits #EvertonFC! The leaders of #Toffees checked the name of #DiablesRouges (Red Devils) in the event of Antony's departure #Gordon. Reciprocal interests. #Januzaj, interested, has refused everything so far because he wants to find the #PremierLeague! To be continued. #EFC "

Januzaj joined United at the age of 16 from Anderlecht. He made 63 appearances for the Old Trafford club, scoring five goals, before joining Borussia Dortmund and then Sunderland on loan.

He made a permanent switch to La Liga with Sociedad in the summer of 2017, signing a five year deal, and went onto to make 168 appearances for the club, finding the net 23 times.

Everton could soon have more spaces to fill in their squad with Dele Alli reportedly set for a loan move to Besiktas and speculation continuing to mount about Anthony Gordon still attracting strong interest from Chelsea.
