Kalvin Phillips has revealed he would start England teammate Jude Bellingham over Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe. The 19-year-old is turning heads with his electrifying midfield displays at the World Cup.
Most top clubs are linked with a move for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder which would make him the most expensive English player of all time. Despite his tender years, Bellingham has been one of the standout performers for the Three Lions in Qatar.
A contract until 2025 means the Bundesliga outfit can command an astronomical fee for the midfielder. Manchester United and Liverpool are among the front runners to lure him back to England.

Another player setting the tournament alight is Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe. Five goals for France places the 23-year-old at the top of the goalscoring charts.
Next on his hit list is England, who take on Les Bleus at the Al Bayt Stadium on Saturday evening. Ahead of England’s World Cup showdown against France, former Leeds United midfielder Phillips has backed his compatriot over Golden Boot favourite Mbappe.
The ex-Whites man also snubbed Leeds-born and Manchester City colleague Haaland. Phillips gasped: “I’d start……… oh my god (when asked to play, bench or sell each player).
“I'm gonna have to say I’d start Jude. I love Erling, but I reckon if he comes off the bench he would still get a hat-trick anyway. Then I’d sell Mbappe because he would probably get the money.”
