Former Leeds United midfielder Michael Brown has said that Jesse Marsch's men 'played for their manager' and showed 'great desire' last night after their 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield.
Brown made 78 appearances in all competitions for the Whites from 2011 until 2014, netting twice and finding four assists before leaving for Port Vale.
A mistake from Joe Gomez gave Rodrigo an open net to score into after just four minutes before Mohamed Salah levelled up the score just before halftime.

However, a Crysencio Summerville winner late on after a Wilfried Gnonto cross was flicked on by Patrick Bamford straight into the path of the 21-year-old whose goal sent Leeds back up to 15th place in the league table.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live last night, Brown highlighted how the performance was not just for the players but looked like it was for Marsch, who has been under significant pressure from fans over the Whites' recent form.
"It wasn't about anything other than they needed that performance - the manager was under so much pressure, they have a home game next week against Bournemouth and you felt like everyone expected Liverpool to win this game.
"It was such a strong performance, disappointing last week against Fulham at home and was the manager going to go? Was he going to stay? To me, it looked like he was ready to go.
"But what a good performance. I got a message at halftime from a Leeds United supporter who said, 'Does that look like a team that hasn't won a game since August and has no fight, and no spirit?' and I thought, 'This guy follows Leeds everywhere they go and that tells you everything about what the feeling was for those fans'.
"These players had a great desire and a good performance from a side at a very, very tough place to come."
Brown then went on to describe his thoughts on how well Leeds handled things defensively, adding that there will be questions raised about one Reds forward in particular.
"I think it looked that way, it was a strong performance, they realised this manager hasn't got that much backing from fans but the club are supporting the manager.
"Obviously, they got that leg up, yes it was a mistake but Rodrigo with that simple tap-in, he was probably thinking, 'How does this happen at Anfield?'. After that they did well to withhold a lot of pressure.
"Liverpool created many opportunities, an absolutely outstanding performance from the goalkeeper, several good saves. Questions will be asked about Nunez in particular but the Leeds move was great.
"Down this left-hand side, ball comes in, it's a nice flick by Bamford and Summerville puts it in the corner, right in front of these travelling fans and the scenes have been incredible."
