Jason Cummings has fired his side to a title winning triumph in some style.
The ex-Hibs star who was part of the 2016 Scottish Cup heroics, shone on the big stage for Central Coast Mariners as they wrapped up the A-League. The Mariners swept aside rivals Melbourne City 6-1 in the Grand Final. Cummings opened the scoring with a slick finish inside the first 20 minutes. Samuel Silvera doubled the Mariners lead, before Melbourne City pulled one back. Cummings then fired home just after the hour mark before netting a penalty to put his side in full control before his side added another two before full time.
Cummings came out on top against former Hibs striker Jamie Maclaren who is the leading scorer in the A-League.
It capped off a huge season for the former Easter Road striker. The prolific striker found his form as he smashed the record for the most goals scored for the Mariners in a single season, netting 20. Cummings also starred in the World Cup for the Socceroos after switching allegiances from Scotland to Australia.

Cummings revealed before the game that today was his "last dance" after being linked with a move to the Indian Super League to play with Mohun Bagan.
Speaking after the match the striker said: "I don’t know what happened. We just beat a great team, 6-1 but I’m not surprised. the team we have got, the hunger, the boys, the togetherness, the family, the gaffer, Serge. Wow what. a journey man.
“I have been here a year and a half and the gaffe changed my life. My career was spiralling out of control and I’ve come here and I’ve just fell in love with the coast man. Best team, wow. I’m lost for words.”
