Ex-Giant Julian Love to be inducted into Nazareth Academy Hall of Fame

Former New York Giants defensive back Julian Love is being honored for his ‘remarkable athletic career’ by his high school Nazareth Academy in La Grange Park, Illinois, who will induct him into their Athletic Hall of Fame in a ceremony next week.

From the Village Free Press in Illinois:

“It feels great to be honored by Naz,” Love told the Village Free Press in an email. “The community has always embraced me and though I’m getting recognized individually, it truly was a family environment that led to all my success.”

Love, a graduate of the high school’s class of 2016, demonstrated his potential for a successful professional football career when he played for the school’s football team. Wearing the No. 20 Roadrunners jersey, he was a two-time state champion in football. In 2014, Love earned All Conference honors in the East Suburban Catholic Conference and in 2015 he was recognized as the Conference MVP. To honor his legacy, Nazareth Academy will officially retire the No. 20 jersey.

Love was a fourth-round pick of the Giants back in 2019 out of Notre Dame and played a valuable role in their secondary and on special teams over his four years with the team. In 2022, Love — in his first year as a starter at safety — led the Giants in total tackles with 124.

Love was not re-signed by the Giants the past offseason and is now in Seattle with the Seahawks after signing a two-year, $12 million free agent deal in March.
