Ex-FSU QB Leads Hilarious NSFW Huddle in XFL Week 2

The XFL was back for its second week of action, and it delivered some hilarious mic‘d-up content for viewers watching at home. During the Brahmas’ victory over the Guardians, Orlando quarterback Deondre Francois appeared to be having some difficulty commanding the huddle.

For whatever reason, one teammate in the huddle was repeatedly shouting out a specific instruction, prompting the ex-Seminoles quarterback to tell him to “shut the f--- up,” before proceeding to call the play himself.

It was a bizarre show of leadership from the former Florida State star, whose mic'd up moment was one of the highlights of a disappointing 30–12 loss to San Antonio.

It’s easy to see why Francois may have been frustrated, given the circumstances of the game. The Guardians were trailing by 21 early into the fourth quarter. The inability to get a play call off to guys standing mere inches away from you would frustrate anyone. Francois just happened to be mic’d up on national television, so his words were clear to hear for those watching from home.

Francois played three seasons at Florida State, featuring in 25 games. He missed all but one game of his 2017 season due to a gruesome leg injury he sustained against Alabama.

Now practicing his trade in the XFL, Francois is currently the backup quarterback for Paxton Lynch on the Guardians, who are off to an 0–2 start. Orlando has surrendered 30-plus points in each of their first two games while scoring exactly 12 in each.
