Former Fermanagh GAA star Seamus Quigley showed what he's capable of on the soccer field with an outrageous long-range goal at the weekend.
Quigley was playing for Orchard Farm in division two of the Fermanagh and Western football league against Fintona Swifts.
The Roslea man had only recently rejoined the club to try and help them stay in the division, with the club joint second from bottom and with two teams set to be relegated.
The game was being played at the King George Playing Fields in Fivemiletown and Quigley produced a moment of quality that would grace any pitch.
Orchard Farm were a goal behind early on but won the ball back near the halfway line on the left touchline.
The ball was poked forward towards centre-forward Quigley who was dropping deep for possession and he took the ball forward with his first touch and then spotted the goalkeeper off his line some 40 yards away and launched it all the way into the far side-netting over the keeper with his weaker left foot.
The incredible strike drew gasps of amazement and laughter from those watching on as Quigley served notice of his natural talent.
Despite that equaliser, Farm were beaten 3-2 and will need Quigley to come up with a few more gems before the season is over to keep the club up.
Quigley was part of Fermanagh’s march to the Ulster final in 2018 with the full-forward also spearheading their promotion to division two earlier that year.
