Ex Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher channelling Andy Sugden as he is spotted parking tractor in posh village

Ex Emmerdale star and Strictly champion Kelvin Fletcher was spotted parking his humongous tractor at the side of the road in the sought after village of Alderley Edge as he stopped to enjoy a spot of breakfast with his family.

The soap star was channelling his former alter ego, Andy Sugden, as he donned jeans, a checked shirt and wellies as he took a break from work at the farm to enjoy some quality time with his wife Liz and their young family. Kelvin was known to millions of Emmerdale fans as Andy Sugden but now he has taken on farming for real as he uprooted his family to the peak district in BBC show Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure.

The six part docu-series documented the experiences of the Fletcher family as they moved their lives to a 120-acre 18th-century farm in the Peak District to start a farming business. Despite his on-screen persona, neither Kelvin or Liz had any prior farming experience.

The show, which aired last year, followed the former Emmerdale star, his wife Liz and kids Marnie and Milo as they adapted to their new life on the farm. Almost two years on from the Fletchers move to the 120-acre 18th-century farm in Derbyshire's Peak District, it seems farming is deeply rooted in the former actor who rocked up to meet his family in a tractor.

Despite Alderley Edge, which is frequented by celebrities, being busy with cars Kelvin had no qualms in parking his huge tractor as the side of the road as he met up with his wife and daughter Marnie, son Milo and new twins Maximus Crowther and Mateusz Kelvin, who they welcomed back in May.

The 38-year-old dad-of-four was unmissable in his bright green tractor and farming attire as he pulled up and headed over to The Village Café in Cheshire on Wednesday (September 7). As well as being busy on the farm, Kelvin is currently appearing in the play Jack Absolute Flies Again by Oliver Chris and Richard Bean.

And he is sporting a very different look at the moment for his role which he surprised fans with during a recent appearance on ITV breakfast show, Lorraine. Kelvin is currently sporting bushy facial hair but admitted it to presenter Lorraine it earns him "funny looks" in public.

He said: "I think it's just really going to be an exciting year with lots of things coming out this year. Starring in the national - I've got my moustache to prove it." The Strictly Come Dancing winner added: "I do get a few funny looks when I'm on the tube, I keep forgetting that I've got it and people are kind of doing a doubletake."

Fans seemed quite fascinated by his moustache with some saying Kelvin now bears some resemblance to Queen legend Freddie Mercury. Others are calling for a Twitter page dedicated to Kelvin's facial hair.

Nicki wrote on Twitter: "#Lorraine I think @kelvin_fletcher tash could have its own Twitter page lol. I hope to see the play soon." Rob Allen joked: "1970s porn tache", and Chris Morgan said: "@kelvin_fletcher love the Freddie Mercury look."

It comes after Kelvin's wife Liz revealed she worried he would miss the birth of their twins after the early 5am hospital dash she had to do back in May. She told Hello! magazine how she woke up after her water broke and had to drive herself to hospital as Kelvin had to stay at home to watch their other children.

She said: "I was a bit panicky that Kelvin might miss the birth if it happened straight away. They did a scan and told me, ‘It’s going to be today’."
