Former Emmerdale star Jon-Paul Bell has joined rival ITV soap Coronation Street as part of a dramatic storyline.
Down the years, Jon-Paul Bell has played two roles in Emmerdale. Fans might recall he was Austin Ascot while in 2020 he made a brief Emmerdale appearance as Gwyn.
Corrie viewers might well have seen him in the soap as Ben Chancellor. The character is described by the Metro as a ‘dodgy paralegal’.

It isn't the first time we've seen stars switch between Emmerdale and Coronation Street. Mark Charnock, Gaynor Faye and Chris Bisson are just some who have appeared in both.
Jon-Paul’s stint in Coronation Street is part of the end of character Imran Habeeb’s time in the soap. Imran is played by Charlie de Melo in Corrie.
With Imran determined to get full custody of baby Alfie, he’s set to play dirty by enlisting the help of Ben, who often alters evidence to help clients get the result they want. These dramatic scenes are set to air soon and will bring acting star Charlie’s time playing Imran to an end.
Away from Emmerdale and now Corrie, Jon-Paul has had parts in Doctors and Kajaki. He will soon be seen in Made in The Eighties and Masters of The Air.
