Legendary character Wendy Crozier is set to return to Coronation Street next week after more than a decade away from the cobbles.
Played by ex-Emmerdale actress Roberta Kerr, Wendy was last seen in 2012 and had been in a relationship with Ken Barlow when she worked as a council source for him when he was a journalist.
She is set to return on June 17 as Abi Webster continues her fight for custody over baby Alfie. Following a court appearance, Alfie is placed with Abi in a mother and baby foster facility where she will be assessed.

Abi is then introduced to Wendy Papadapoulos, née Crozier, who is their foster carer. Abi tells Wendy where she lives, causing her to worry about running into her old flame, Tracy and the rest of the Barlows.
Has Wendy changed or will she want to win back Ken? Asked how she felt about being back on the show, Roberta, who played Jan Glover on Emmerdale, said she was excited but admitted that a lot had changed over the years.

Speaking to ITV, she said: "It’s great, fantastic. It’s a completely different place, of course, because the last time I was here it was 2012 and it was before they moved. It’s very, very new."
The prospect of a reunion with Ken is now obviously playing on everyone's mind but Roberta remained tight-lipped about whether they will meet or not. She said: "Wendy and Ken haven’t crossed paths yet. Who knows what’s going to happen there."
