Former police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon, who is accused of the alleged double murder of Sydney couple Jesse Baird and Luke Davies last year, is slated to undergo psychiatric testing arranged by his lawyers.
He is facing charges for allegedly murdering Qantas flight attendant Davies, 29, and TV presenter Baird, 26, with his police-issued gun and dumping their bodies in surfboard bags.
He is charged with two counts of domestic violence-related murder and one count of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.

As reported by The Guardian, his Legal Aid lawyer, Alex Curnick, told Sydney’s Downing Centre local court on Tuesday that the defence team is still awaiting a full review of the “extraordinary volume” of evidence compiled by prosecutors.
Curnick requested that the brief of evidence be delivered by February 11, ahead of Lamarre-Condon’s psychiatric testing by a forensic psychiatrist in early March.
The court also heard Curnick was seeking so-called Cellebrite reports regarding her client’s phone, which is a reference to software police use to extract data such as location information, call logs, and internet history from mobiles.
Last year, John Walford — who served as Beau Lamarre-Condon’s lawyer before representation switched to Legal Aid — told the media he was unsure how his client would plead, although he indicated mental health would “probably” be part of the defence, per the ABC.
Police allege Lamarre-Condon shot the two men at Baird’s inner Sydney home on February 19 and eventually turned himself in to Bondi Police Station on February 23.

Lamarre-Condon initially did not cooperate with police as they searched for the bodies of Davies and Baird.
However, a few days later, the bodies were discovered on February 27 inside surfboard bags near a rural property in Bungonia, near Goulburn, around 200 kilometres southwest of Sydney.
Lamarre-Condon was officially removed from the NSW Police force mid-March.
Police have said Lamarre-Condon briefly dated Baird and the charges are believed to stem from the premeditated nature of the attack. They allege Lamarre-Condon displayed “predatory behaviour” after the end of their casual relationship.
The case is now expected to return to court on 20 March.
