Ex-Celtic boss ‘set’ for management return with Scottish Championship strugglers

Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon is expected to become the next manager of a Scottish Championship club.

That’s according to reports, who claim the Northern Irishman has been sounded out by Dunfermline Athletic to take the vacant position at East End Park .

Dunfermline sacked Michael Tidser earlier this week after just eight matches, with the Fife club currently languishing ninth in the second-tier.

Lennon, who won ten trophies across two spells at Celtic, has been out of work since leaving Rapid Bucharest last year and has previous experience guiding a team through a Championship campaign with Hibernian.

The Daily Mail say the 53-year-old has been offered a "lucrative offer" and is close to accepting the job.
