Ex-Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has labelled assists one of the most pointless statistics in football.
Now in charge at Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, Postecoglou is known for a typically fast-paced, attacking style of play.
His swashbuckling tactics helped him win five trophies out of a possible six in Glasgow's east end, with the Australian proving to be an almighty success in Scotland.

While one might think he likes to keep up with the most modern football trends, Postecoglou isn't a fan of assists and their worth in the game: "The assist is the most useless statistic in world football," he said (BBC).
"Seriously, it could come off your backside, fall to someone on the halfway line, he scores, and it's an assist. So it doesn't impress me."
Postecoglou's Spurs currently sit 12th in the English top flight.
They have endured a tumultuous season to date, and although they are out of both domestic cups, they remain alive and kicking in the Europa League, with a last-16 tie against AZ Alkmaar in the offing next week.
He took his side to Ibrox earlier in Europe this campaign, earning a 1-1 draw thanks to Dejan Kulusevski's second-half equaliser.
