Ex-Burnley striker snapped up by Hamilton Accies

Hamilton Accies have signed former Burnley striker Joe McGlynn on a one-year deal.

The 20-year-old has previous experience with Kidderminster Harriers, Hyde United and Oldham Athletic, but was unable to rise further than Burnley's under-21s.

McGlynn, who is Scottish but was born in Warrington, told the club's website: "Delighted to be part of Accies' plans for this season.

"I've been getting stuck in to training this week and getting to know the lads and coaches more, and I'm really enjoying it.

"I'm looking forward to the start of the campaign and seeing the fans get right behind us."

McGlynn follows fellow striker Kevin O'Hara, midfielders Jamie Barjonas, Euan Henderson and Stephen Hendrie, and defenders Lee Kilday, Jackson Longridge and Kyle MacDonald through the doors.
