Released Bolton Wanderers defender Liam Gordon has signed a deal with League Two club Walsall.
The 23-year-old departs the Whites this summer after it was confirmed in the club's retained list that he will become a free agent when his two-year contract expires at the end of June. The left-back played a total of 36 times during his spell at the Unviersity of Bolton Stadium.
In the season which has recently concluded, Gordon made 21 appearances at a full-back and a wing-back. He operated on both the right and left flanks.

Gordon has been quick to find himself a new club following his release by Ian Evatt's side. He has signed for Walsall and put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Saddlers.
“I’m delighted,” Gordon told the club website. “I’ve been speaking to the head coach and I know what his expectations are, what he wants from me and I’m excited for the club’s future and his plans for the club going forward.
“I spoke to the gaffer about his formation and that completely suits me.
“I’m an attacking left-back, I like to get forward, I like to contribute with goals and assists but I’ve got to help with the defensive side as well. I’m definitely looking forward to the new challenge.”
Walsall head coach Michael Flynn said: "I’m delighted to add Liam to the squad. He’s got good experience of a winning team from his time at Bolton.
“He’s fit, quick, a good crosser of the ball, athletic and fits everything that I want in a wing-back. He’s hungry to stamp down a place in the team and to take us forward.”
