Former Arsenal youngster Yunus Musah has admitted a return to the Gunners in future is "possible" amid recent transfer speculation.
The 19-year-old departed north London for Valencia in 2019 having spent seven years in Arsenal's academy. Since moving to Spain he has kick-started his career with the LaLiga giants, reportedly catching the eye of Gunners scouts again, as well as admiring glances from Liverpool and Juventus.
Musah has been a regular for his club side over the past two seasons, racking up more than 70 appearances and chipping in with four goals of his own. Yet despite insisting he is "really happy" at the Mestalla, he is open to donning Arsenal's colours again if the opportunity presents itself.
When asked about a possible return to Arsenal, Musah told CBS Sports : "You never know. I had a great time at Arsenal developing there, I still have friends there, the coaches were great, being an Arsenal player in general is great.
"I loved playing for Arsenal. I’ve nothing against the club and if one day it turns out to be that it’s time to go back then it’s possible. For now I’m really happy at Valencia and I’m looking forward to carrying this season on in the same way we’re doing now."
Musah is in line to be involved in USA's World Cup campaign in Qatar later this month, having declared for his birth country despite representing England at various age groups at youth level. England boss Gareth Southgate admitted he was keen to keep Musah in the Three Lions system but failed to convince the teenager to reject USA's advances.

"I know some people from the team, Saka and [Jude] Bellingham, so I am going to have to go toe-to-toe with them in that match and smash them, really, because it’s pride, you know," Musah told ESPN last month.
"I told some of my friends back home as well that if we win that match, they have to celebrate, in the English pubs and everything they have to celebrate, that would be nice."
The central midfielder's contract runs until 2026 and contains a release clause valuing him at £87million. It's unlikely he'll be moving on before next summer, though Mikel Arteta has admitted the club are looking into potential options for the January window.
Arteta said: “The planning of that period is extremely difficult. First of all because we know the January window, how special it is, the opportunities that you have, the short window that you have. Once you get the player they are straight away competing, so there is not an adaption process.
“And obviously with the position that we are in right now as well, it demands as well another level of player - and that player has to be available. We will look at everything and let’s see what we can do.”
