TIRUPATI: Former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock over the Alipiri tragedy in which a six-year-old girl from Nellore was mauled to death in a suspected leopard attack on Saturday.
The TDP chief expressed his deep felt condolences to the bereaved family members.
Recalling the recent leopard attack on a five-year-old boy who had a miraculous escape along the Alipiri pedestrian route reported in July earlier this year, the former Chief minister felt that if TTD took precautionary measures immediately after the first attack was reported, Saturday's tragedy in which a six year old girl was killed, could have been averted.
Naidu urged the officials to put in place a proper plan of action and enhance the security measures to prevent the recurrence of such attacks and to instill confidence among the devotees visiting Tirumala.
YSRCP MLA asks officials to question victim's parents
YSRCP's Kovvur MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy expressed doubts over the Alipiri tragedy in which a six year old girl was mauled to death in a suspected leopard attack.
"I spoke to TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and EO AV Dharma Reddy. I have some doubts as a girl child is the victim. I think the officials should conduct a thorough enquiry and even question the parents, who claim that they belong to Pothireddypalem village in Kovvur mandal of Nellore district", the ruling party MLA stated.
