A Derbyshire man has slammed delivery company Evri after one of its drivers caused damage to a piece of his furniture.
Michael Lock from Breaston, Derbyshire, was shocked to see that his porch camera had captured the moment a delivery driver knocked over a large vase with a parcel before leaving his property.
Evri has apologised and the driver sent a bunch of flowers to Mr Lock.
The 74-year-old had been expecting a parcel for his son but was surprised to find the "very attractive" vase on the ground damaged.
Upon reviewing the footage Mr Lock found out exactly how the red and white item ended up scratched and on the floor, Derbyshire Live reports.
He said: "He dropped our parcel into the porch, then pushed it further in with his foot so it forced a large vase to fall and get damaged. Luckily it has only been scratched, but, you know, it's a very nice vase."
Describing the driver as "careless", Mr Lock said: "In the video you will see that, even though he notices what he has done, he does not try to remedy the situation but just leaves the damage.
Evri have rebranded away from the awful reputation they had with Hermes but this little video seems to suggest there is still a problem."
A spokesperson for Evri said: "We have reached out to this customer to apologise and organise payment for any damage. Our local team has spoken to the courier and taken the necessary action."
Mr Lock has received a bunch of flowers and a card from the delivery driver apologising for knocking the vase over. Mr Lock has accepted the driver's apology.
