Early days in acting

Amy Huberman, who was born and raised in Cabinteely in Dublin, took drama classes as a child.

Amy's TV acting career started in the early 2000s. Irish audiences were first introduced to the budding actress in 2002 when she starred in the RTE GAA drama series On Home Ground.

The show was set in a fictional small Irish town and saw a GAA club strive to win the country championship, something they have been unable to achieve so far. Amy's acting career blossomed from there. She went onto star in The Clinic for seven seasons from 2003 until 2009.

She played Daisy on the show and was nominated for an IFTA for Best Supporting Actress in 2008, 2009 and 2010 for her portrayal of the character.

Her acting took her across the water to the UK where she starred in the hit Comedy Central show Threesome, which follows a group of three friends who end up dealing with an unplanned pregnancy together.

In 2011, Amy scooped an IFTA for her role in the film Rewind in which she played recovering addict Karen.

Her other credits include Moone Boy, Heading Out For Dinner and The Stag. In 2017, Amy starred in RTE's Striking Out as solicitor Tara Rafferty, which earned her an IFTA for Best Actress.

Since then, she has starred in Cold Feet's reboot, ITV's Butterfly and Finding Joy.
