The Addam's family's return to our screens in a record breaking success for Netflix with Wednesday, and fans have been eagerly awaiting updates on a new season for show.
Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega as the Addams Family’s teenager, has been a massive success for Netflix, with the show racking up a billion hours of views in its first month. Only Squid Game and Stranger Things season four have achieved the same feat on the platform.
Fans of the show will be pleased to hear that Netflix boss Peter Friedlander dropped a major hint about a new season for the show recently, suggesting it will be renewed for a season two.

Peter Friedlander, head of scripted series in the US and Canada at Netflix said: "You may know what I’m going to say but I have nothing to confirm at this time [about Wednesday season two]."
However, he teased: "I am optimistic about Wednesday, we’ll leave it at that. Weirdly, because it feels different, but we’re just two weeks into the launch of Wednesday, so we’re still really at the beginning of this cultural phenomenon and there’s a lot to absorb and learn about it.
"It’s striking how quick something like this can explode on Netflix, and there is a lot you want to hear back from fans and audiences. It’s not just the dance, it’s people dressing up and buying makeup and wanting to look like Wednesday Addams.
“The resurgence, for me, it’s something that’s been in the culture for a long time, but never this pronounced. It’s something that we want to study and understand why this is such a phenomenon. And I think so much of it is Jenna’s extraordinary performance at the centre.”
The series follows Wednesday attending Nevermore academy, a school for outcasts and magical individuals, as she becomes embroiled in a major murder mystery and tries to learn more about her parents' (played by Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones) time at the school. The first season ends on a major cliff-hanger that's left fans hungry for more.
