THIS weekend will see Scottish independence supporters march through the capital for All Under One Banner’s (AUOB) final march of the year.
It will mark the 40th march that AUOB will have held since October 2014 and the group has said “it’s vital that independence supporters attend and make manifest a strong show of support for the cause”.
A number of speakers and musicians are expected to attend the rally after the march.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Where does the march begin?
The march starts at 12.30pm in Holyrood Park and people have been encouraged to gather early and arrive in plenty time to get any information they might need.
Which route will it follow?
The procession will take the following route: Holyrood Park, Queens Drive, Horse Wynd, Canongate, High Street, Lawnmarket, George IV Bridge, Forrest Road, Middle Meadow Walk and finish in The Meadows.
Who is speaking at the rally?
The rally will take place in The Meadows after the march has finished where there will be a number of speakers as well as musicians.
The running order is yet to be confirmed but the speakers include:

- Lesley Riddoch – broadcaster, author and journalist
- Colette Walker – Independence for Scotland Party
- Sean Davis
- Eva Comrie – Alba
- Colin MacPherson – Germans for Scottish Independence
- John Taylor – Yes Bikers
- David McHutchon – party leader, Sovereignty
- Susan Archibald – disability rights activist
- Leanne Tervit
- Amanda Burgauer – Common Weal
And the musicians set to perform at the rally include:

- The Ronains
- Kevin Gore
- Bobby Nicholson
- Pete Scally
- Graham Brown
What’s the dress code?
There is no specific dress code for the demonstration although organisers encourage vibrant colours to be worn, and flags placards and banners (both Scots and international) are encouraged for maximum visibility.
Participants are encouraged to attend no matter what, the most important is to bring yourselves.
When are the stewards’ briefings?
If you wish to volunteer as a steward then please attend one or both of the stewards briefings, which will take place at 11.30am and 12 noon at the assembly point.
However, if you miss this then just approach a steward when you arrive.
